I'm not a Ford Fan. But Ford's site "Ford Payloads" has the 3/4 ton payloads much higher than 2300 Lbs for the 2013's. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I can take it:M
They don't take into account the payload eaten up by the diesel engine and other heavy options (like leather trim).
Worst case I have seen net payload numbers under 2000# for a fully loaded diesel crew-cab 4WD long box 3/4 ton.
As another example, several posters on here have quoted a weight around 7800# for a truck with a 10,000# GVWR, so that leaves 2200#.
Now if you look at a gas engined, regular cab, short box 2WD truck, payloads can be close to 4000#.
Ya have to read the fine print (or check the tire loading label on the truck)
