Help with truck capabilities

Hello all,

Can my truck pull this?

I am new to the travel trailer world and am currently looking at purchasing a Jayco Eagle 324 BTS. This trailer is about 36 ft long and has a dry hitch weight of 945 lbs. It weighs 8,020 lbs dry. The truck I currently own is a 2012 Ford F150 3.5 L ecoboost. THe GVWR on my truck is 7200 lbs and my GVW is 5615. Leaving me only 640 lbs for people, cargo, propane, water and so on.

I plan on keeping this Trailer at my ranch and using it there 90% of the time. I was imagining that when I do tow it I can put most of my gear in the trailer over the axles or back of them helping with the weight on the truck. As well as keeping my water tanks empty.

Could you all help me think this through? Am I being realistic?

    My feeling?

    trailer is to long, too heavy and once again an EGO boost F150.

    There are lots of folks who are drinking the EGO boost koolaid, I am not one of those.

    That trailer is more in line for 3/4 ton or even 1 ton trucks.

    Your F150 is going to labor pulling it and that 36ft length is a lot of billboard to pull behind. While your engine may have the power to move it, CONTROL may be the issue at hand. There is more to towing than the 1/4 mile, it comes down to how well the suspension of the vehicle handles a given load.

    If you think the EGO boost is going to get 20+ MPG towing, forget about it, towing mileage drops to the same or less than say a 6.2 gas engine..

    Its your money, your life, do as you will with it...
