I tow a similar trailer (7,500 loaded) and love my 6.4L 2500. I won't tow over 10,000 pounds for at least 10 years and by then I'll have a new truck, so this truck was a no-brainer for me.
I have an SLT with the big screen, auto-start, factory spray-on bed liner, etc. 3,000 pounds of payload and plenty of power to carry gear in the bed and still tow the trailer up some decent grades (Smokies and Ozarks so far).
I am asked about it constantly while camping and tailgating. An older man camping by us last November who claimed to be "a lifelong Ford guy" said "boy, you sure have a nice truck!"
Word is getting around!
