- notevenExplorer IIIThanks for the replies. I have an AirSafe Class VI that I use with a light cargo trailer to lessen the smashing effect on the trailer of the 3500 truck on bridge decks and rr tracks. While a heavy trailer is not affected as much the AirSafe pretty much eliminates any chucking motion from the trailer due to it's dog bone links. It looks to me like the Propride coupler bolts up to the vertical mount with the adjustment holes like a conventional weight distribution head? If yes then I can continue to use the AirSafe with the heavy TT..
I was towing in a 30 gusting 40mph rear quartering cross tailwind today. A bit busy on the rudder pedals when the class 8's motor past at 75. :) - horton333ExplorerI have a Hensley Arrow, which was an upgrade to the same combination TV and trailer with just a friction bar system. There is now noticeably less waggling the tail, now just a very mild pushing sensation that requires no response from me.

Yes, it does stop the zig zag swaying. You do get the side push, but now it affects the tow vehicle and trailer together. Offers much better control.
X2 I'm a big ProPride fan. Kiss those white knuckles goodbye. - goducks10ExplorerWhen I used an HA with my 2010 F150 towing a 31' 7300lb TT, the TT still waggled. But the truck didn't. Passing semi's side by side the truck was rock solid. I could still see my TT moving back and forth in the rear view mirror.
Now here's the interesting part. I moved up to a 2500 truck with a 169"WB which is 25" longer than the F150 I was using and the 2500 truck was rock solid without using the HA. I'm guessing it's the proverbial tail wagging the dog thing.
Getting an HA is obviously cheaper than up sizing trucks. - Rolling_CondoExplorer IIYes, it does stop the zig zag swaying. You do get the side push, but now it affects the tow vehicle and trailer together. Offers much better control.
- mbuttsExplorerI agree with Camp N Family. My experience with my Pro Pride made towing go from a hyper-alert effort, scanning the mirrors constantly, bracing for the passing vehicle push and recovery to a enjoyable drive. I no longer arrived like I had carried the trailer on my back the whole trip.

- camp-n-familyExplorerNothing will stop the push from passing vehicles, which is not actually sway. Sway would be if the push caused a back and forth oscillation between the tv and tt. The Hensley/propride will stop that.
I did notice a bit of a change in the bow wave affect though. Instead of the truck getting pushed first followed by the trailer, they would get pushed together as one. This lessens the effect of the push but won't eliminate it completely.
