One huge advantage everyone is missing about the Hensley and Propride that it does not require the 10-15% TW to help it preform...
In other words I can load my TT with a lighter TW and be within limit of my TV payload limits and still have no sway even when encountering trucks and cross winds ( let's be reasonable here there are limits of cross wind speeds as with ANY hitches). I bought the Propride for that reason as regular hitches I was always faced with going over TW/payload limits, it was cheaper to buy the PP than to change my TT.
Lets not claim tongue weight reductions here. The common range is 10-15% and down to 8% with boats and such. Let's stick with the standards until otherwise stated by a manufacture.
I would agree these two hitches are perfect for smaller TV's towing trailers considered large for their size (wheelbase).
I do not agree any WDH should play any factor to pad your trucks weight ratings. While a scale will prove otherwise, its best practice to negate the WDH weight transfer when adding weights.
You're right and let me correct myself I meant that:
"I can be near minimum TW of 10% and have a great results with the Propride than if I didn't have the PP, I would have to increase the TW percentage with other traditional hitches this would add TW (and be over payload) in order to get nearly the same results".
I know people will argue with me and so be it, not to turn this thread into a hitch/manufacture war, but both Propride and Hensley 'eliminates' sway and not control sway as others do.
