All that aside, this looks pretty cool. I think the horrid smoking/rattling diesels of the 1980s left a sour taste in many people's mouths and it's taken a long time for people to try again.

All the Mfg have been using the "masks " for 30,40,50 yrs
Nothing sinister or new
Putting a econimical Diesel in a Light duty Big 3 can only be good.
