HEY! Where's the manual?

Question, are companies starting to due without the owners manual for travel trailers? Purchased a new T.T. but it does not have a manual, they checked another T.T. and no manual I call the company and she told me I can send you on via mail. Email? I said..:h
  • Usually it’s a just a folder with all the appliance manuals and warranties. Then they stuff a generic Manual for the RV in there as well. Which is nothing more than telling you if you don’t adhere to the proper care the warranty is no good!
  • Monaco has a generic manual that is good for all their RVs.

When I first bought a travel trailer I found that the company who built it had gone out of business (RVision).

I called Monaco and got their printed version of the manual. It pretty much covered all the systems I had on my trailer.

Keep in mind that your manual, if you even get one at all, will not look like your car's owner manual that is specifically made for your car's make and model. It will be very generic. It may cover some systems that your RV may not have.
  • Our new trailer came with the owners manuals for all the systems but nothing that really tells you how everything works together. Pacific Coach Works put a generic company manual in too covering every single item they offer 90% of which is not on most trailers and very vague.

I just had to figure it all out myself.
  • I bet the dealer has the full package including owner's manual and all appliance documents and warranty cards.
