Higher end brands?

So we are in the market for a different TT. We currently own an Open Range and like the quality of it. Seems very well built and good quality. Having said that, this is our second TT after a smaller Forest River Hybrid. So what are are some brands that are of better build quality? Less issues with leaks, slideout issues, good resale value......Any info would be great!!!

  • Airstream and myself will never be on the same page until they take out the short bed and put in a full 80 inch bed. Too bad really.
  • Yeah Airstream is out of the question for numerous reasons, space being one. Don't want custom, but just something that will last and feels solid.
  • I'd stick with the Open Range if you're happy with it, I'm not sure what line of Open Range TT you have, I've had several Carriages over the years and the Open Range are built very similar. The Lance Lance Travel trailers are really nice too and they hold their value like a AirStream.
  • If you're after spending a lot, check out Safari Condo, now with a factory in the USA.
  • Oliver built in Tennessee. Custom builders as well such as New Horizon, Continental, Spacecraft mfg.
  • It sounds crass but the more you pay the better the quality. Hence those that get high marks include Air Stream, Lance, Big Foot, Arctic Fox plus the eggs like Casita, Scamp etc.

TTs are built to a price point, so every brand has their high end an low end models.

The RV industry sells over 400,000 TTs and 5vers a year. The vast majority serve their owners well.

Unfortunately the constructions methods are quick and fast to keep the price down.
  • Lance and,Arctic Fox are two that come to mind. Airstream of course. But who wants to pay their prices.
