Highland Ridge Open Range Ultra Lite

My husband and I are getting ready to buy a new travel trailer. We bought our first one last year and had no clue what we were doing and pretty much over paid for our trailer. We are looking at buying a 2016 Open Range Ultra Lite UT2710RL. I have not heard of this brand before and not having much luck finding any reviews. I am scared of making another mistake. Does anybody know if this brand is good and how they stand up to their warranty. Any insight is greatly appreciate.

  • Congratulations on the new trailer. Check out the Open Range Owner's Forum http://www.openrangeowners.com/ORforum/ . Lots of great people and many opportunities for rallies, etc. Look forward to meeting you down the road.
  • Thank you everybody for your responses. With all the positives comments, we ended up purchasing it and picking it up today.
  • We have a 2013 Journeyer (not a lite model) and have been very happy with it. Have taken it cross country and many thousands of miles. They have a two year warranty and seem to be very responsive to any problems. We had a propane regulator that didn't work and they replaced it quickly under warranty. We have been to two owner's rallies and almost everyone seems very happy with their trailers. Any manufacturer can have some problems but Open Range (Highland Ridge) seems to have fewer problems than most other manufacturers and they do look out for their customers.
  • We have one... they are very well built..... no problems with ours except an AC was acting funny... they replaced right away..... they are an awesome company with a 2 year warranty and they stand behind their product.... go to their website and they have an owners forum where you can read all about them from people that own them..... I will never buy another brand..... good luck...
  • We have an 2012 Open Range Roamer TT and had two minor problems early on. Open Range stepped up and both problems fixed under warrantee. One was a bad vacuum breaker and the other the drip line for the A/C had some debris in it. We are extremely satisfied and happy with the trailer and will use it for many more years. Fit and finish is very acceptable.
