an unmarked police car sat there and then started picking off everyone who disregarded "STOP!" and just plowed on through it! And yes! They got tickets
If you get a ticket for going through a stop sign in a parking lot that is on private land(e.g., grocery store parking lot) you can challenge the ticket and get it thrown out.
