The Ute bed is stronger by itself, but most Asian Pickups have a much greater load capacity than a basic F150. ie. a Dual cab 2,300-2500lb capacity. Then on top of that you can have the GVWR of the vehicle increased. So it is no surprise to have these running around with fairly large TC's rzther than the pop Top type.
