Probably written by a corporate lawyer. I use an extended shank sometimes, but am under fifty percent of hitch rating. Lightweight utility trailer.
longer shanks (i.e. drawbars) DO NOT HAVE any reduction in other towing specs unlike "hitch extensions" like the one you posted which are extensions of the receiver tube.
You like many that don't seem to understand these differences in these two items confuse the two and improperly try and impose the limits that might be applicable to one to the other which is EXTREMELY MISLEADING.
