hitch stop
Is there such a thing as a hitch lock or stop to prevent putting the truck tail light thru the front cap, like I did. Twice... I use and equalizer hitch with torsion bars. Oldcow

Like I said, a longer shank on the hitch. Some people have gotten the longer shank so the tailgate clears a tongue jack.
I think mine may be a bit longer than average but will look into the possibility of a longer one.
