Looking at the GMC website, a 2015 2500 Denali HD, crew cab, 6.6 diesel, standard box has a 9500 gvwr, and a max payload of 1759 lbs. Of course the website shows the same for the 6.0 gas. The Chevrolet site shows a 10000 lb gvwr and curb weight of 7100 lbs. Just shows that the more important document is the sticker in the door for the truck you're looking at if you are that concerned about weights. I wonder why the GMC is rated lower than the Silverado.
