I see two things here. One I see no reason whatever to haul a trailer around with any of the tanks full or even at 1/2. Empty them. I always travel with empty tanks.
I always travel with water tank full. The reason, I'm camping not rving. No hookups including water.
I could never have water tanks like posted above. They have to be protected from the elements aka rocks and gravel or sticks. My water tank is held in place by straps. I wish they would go back a few years and put the water tanks inside the trailer under a bed of couch like they used to, to keep it from the elements, easier to keep from freezing and damage also.
If all I did was go to campgrounds with hookups, I wouldn't fill the water tank. Just put enough in to use the toilet etc while traveling.
