I just make it easy on myself and travel with empty tanks. My guess is these designs were never intended for travel full.
These tanks SHOULD be designed to travel full.. Otherwise there isn't a point in having a self contained RV.
There is always a place to fill up your tanks with potable water somewhere on your route close to where you will eventually be boondocking. If I am traveling from ND to Utah I am going with empty tanks. I will fill up there to get out to the boonies.
If all your boondocking is a few hours drive from home that is a different matter.
