If you want to have the same channels you have at home it is best to get the same dish you have at your house. We purchased the same HD Dish we have at home online for around $50 and mount it on a homemade stand when we arrive to our destination. With Directv we use to bring our receivers back and forth from house to rig, but since we went with Dish network we purchased Dish VIP receivers for about $70 each and they stay with the rig.
If you have internet available where you RV I imagine your receiver could utilize it for added programming, but I've never encountered a park that provided sufficient bandwidth to view On Demand programming from Dish Network. We have Hopper system and can't comment on what to expect from your equipment. We've been setting up our own satellite dish for over a dozen years, it takes about 10 minutes to have all the same channels we have at home.
