Home RV parking

I'm thinking of pouring a concrete slab for the wheels on each side of my TT and a smaller one for the tongue. Anyone have any thoughts about this?
  • I'd look to see what the cost difference would be to fill in the middle also. Grass won't grow in the shade, and it will just be dirt/mud under the camper.

Also with just the strips, it may be tough to keep it lined up, and not get the tires off into the mud.
  • If it's only for the wheels, why not just use pavers? I put in a gravel parking spot with levelled pavers for the wheels. It's worked great for the last 14 years.

If I could I would have a concrete slab with a cover, but I'm too close to the property line.
  • Are there applicable zoning codes or HOA regulations? I got a citation once for parking a boat beside the house... had to spend $3,000 in landscaping, fill, concrete, etc., to move the boat get into compliance. On the bright side, it worked well for our 25' travel trailer when we sold the boat. I installed a 30 amp RV outlet on the side of the garage to plug the TT into.

    Thats what I did
  • My thoughts include the big slab and metal cover, but also include getting a 30/50 amp plug installed close by so you can plug in.
  • I just had a 42' X 15' poured and will have an aluminum roof built for it next month.
I'm making it big so anything we buy will fit and be protected.
