I cut 4x4's at a 20 degree angle and drilled a hole in the middle big enough for pipe that is the same size as the pipe clamp holders from harbor freight. Works. But my axle is regular TT axle not spread axle. Matter of fact haven't seen many spread axle on RV's. 20 degree cut worked out OK for me. Haven't seen a spread axle on RV that I know of.
