I assume your talking about a surge protector? No, I'm not going through a surge protector. The A/C compressor tries to start but then stops. Sounds like not enough power. Possibly something wrong with the A/C but it works fine on shore power.
So the Honda doesn't trip its overload? That's weird. I wonder if the voltage is sagging enough and the A/C cuts itself out before pulling too many amps.
Do you have any way to measure the current demand when starting/running on shore power?
No, the breaker on the Generator is NOT tripping. The A/C is shutting down. It tried to start for about 2 seconds and then shuts off and won't even try to start again unless you wait awhile. Yes I have a amp meter I can check the amp pull while on shore power. I'll do this today after work.
