I have one mounted in my truck for seven years and have never taken the key out or turned it off . To shut mine off I shut off the fuel and walk away , it runs for a minute and then shuts down .
Because I want to leave the generator running when I'm not around and I don't want to give someone a way to shut it down. I hadn't thought about just turning off the fuel. I guess I'd have to address that too. I may need to think a little more. Maybe a locking door to cover the whole control panel.
