I have been conducting an unofficial experiment on the topic of what trucks do girls like for many years in order to satisfy my personal observation. Over the years friends and colleagues in the same situation have asked me what truck would their wife warm up to.
I suggest they test drive all of them and make the Chevy Silverado 1500 the second in line. Don't bias them in any manner and don't focus on the Chevy. The girls almost unanimously chose the Chevy with Dodge a close second.

They like the ride, the way it drives, the seats are comfy and the interior is eye candy to them.
My wife is from Ft. Worth. We went from a Tacoma to a Ram 3500. We looked at all of them and she thought the Ram was the nicest one of the big three. I liked the Cummins and the 5th wheel prep group. My mechanic felt the Ram was the best for us. Now getting her to drive it with a trailer attached is something else. So maybe your statistic is really on target.
