We're talking about pouring out a jug here. It's not rocket science. If the handle is awkward to hold when you're pouring it properly maybe the handle wasn't meant to be used while pouring? You don't even hold a gallon jug of antifreeze by the handle to pour it out, you hold it by the sides. The handle is there for transport of the jug, not for dispensing.
