Not surprising though to anyone who has owned a LB7 Dmax.
My 02 with just a Edge J/A tuner with no other supporting mods would whip my 07 5.9 Cummins in a drag race hands down. It would run with modded Mustang GT's and it towed as good or better than my similarly tuned Cummins (both of which are/were putting about the same power to the ground on paper as the new diesel pickups with 800+ ft-lbs stock.
Not saying it's a better engine, as I'd place my money on the CTD out lasting the Dmax in the long haul (provided you actually put enough mile son them to run em into the ground), but Dmax engines run....period.
