Huh??? Autotrans?? 1500 vs 2500?? Taxes & Interest?? What are you talking about? A 3/4 ton truck costs $30K more than a compact car too. So does it actually cost $30K extra to own that Cummins? If you're going to compare to a 1500, there is a mark-up for the Hemi that is standard on a 2500. I stated what I paid, not sticker price.
EDIT. I priced out a 2500 with all the options that I wanted. I then asked the salesman what a Cummins would cost me. He came back with a figure of $6K. I said to write up the deal. When he did, the $2K additional Cummins rebate came up. This was in late 2012.
