I am no "expert", but the Corvette would move much less weight a lot faster, thereby producing an equal amount of "work" accomplished. Which one would get to the top or the mountain quicker? What would be their comparable velocity at the end of a quarter mile? If one lifts one hundred pounds ten feet in a minute, that equates to the same horsepower as lifting fifty pounds twenty feet in one minute. Torque is another and perhaps more important rating for tow vehicles.
