O.K., it's a nice sunny day today. Sun at 28* altitude at 10:15am with the highest at 32.2* at 11:40am.
I shorted the output and measured the current at 8.9amps while maneuvering the panel for the highest reading. On the back of the panel is a label that states the short output is 8.9amps so that is right on the money.
Laid flat on the ground, the shorted output was 4.4 amps, or about half the full output when directed at the sun. With my current panels on my camper roof; 2 50watt panels, which are reading 3 amps into a load, not shorted, I'll have about 7amps total actual charge amps. Plenty to refresh my batteries after running a heater blower all night long as well as other residuals.
I'll work out mounting on the roof when it's a bit warmer out, probably spring, but who knows with the crazy California weather!
$125 for 8.9 amps shorted is a great value!!
