On my previous TT, I had a gas & electric water heater with ONE switch ON/OFF;
If I was plugged into shore power, it would sense this and use the electric
heating element with the switch set to ON; If I was not plugged into shore
power then it would use Propane - again with the switch set to ON;
With the switch set to OFF, neither the electric nor gas would function.
I think this was an Atwood heater
