My water heater is a gas or electric and the temp is set at the factory. It is too darn hot and cannot be adjusted by the consummer.
It is well insulated so I turn it on as needed. It is turned on at supper time and by the time we do dishes it is hot, then we shut it off. It is still warm enough to wash with in the morning.
It only takes about 15 minutes to provide hot water and in about 35 to 40 minutes it is very hot.
I almost always use the 30 amp campground electricity, though we have used the LP a couple of times, but why waste gas.
