I have a 2010 Dutchmen with the Pack-n-Play door as well. With my little ones, I had the same concerns. Here is what I did.
I purchased a new lock, with deadbolt, the same as the main entry door. I installed this and removed the red lever from the inside. Now the deadbolt can only be locked/unlocked with the key outside. If I need to open in from the inside, the red lever was up in the medicine cabinet. The emergency exit in the rear of my trailer is through the window at the top bunk. We did run a drill where the kids got to climb out of each of the emergency exits (except my youngest). Now my kids are a bit older, I re-attached the lever last year. In total, this cost me $35.00.
By the way, have you checked to see if your locks are part of the recall? This affected the combo locks, handle & deadbolt. When I sent my info in for the recall, I requested all four cores be keyed the same.
FINALLY! An idea, thank you. Also have to check the recall and see if I can get the key out at9 oclock position as i dont have the numbers noted.
