The width might be a problem as far as using the ASME tank with the side mounted valve, gauge, etc... especially if they are mounted on the side of a 12" diameter tank.

I don't see any advantage to using the 30# horizontal DOT propane tanks that must be filled in a verticle position.

It looks like your propane compartment is going to be problematic . Even if they fit I am not sure that being on a slide would qualify as being a fixed tank . I am not familiar with your camper as far as layout . Would it be possible to rebuild the compartment so the tank or tanks where facing you broadside when you open the door ? It may be too much work .
Here is another company that makes all kinds of tanks , including fuel cells for propane vehicles .
