Years ago I posted a thread about two Aluminum Lennox propane tanks that I owned.
You can see the thread here.I talked with Amer Gas about them today.... they can certify them for $10 each... and replace the old valves with ORP valves for a total of about $50 each.
I took some measurements... the Lennox tanks are about 1 1/2" taller than my current 30# tanks.... they won't fit in the slide out storage in my Lance 1161 because of the height..
They are definately contenders for putting in a rear mounted box.... they are lighter in weight and would be closer to the ground.
Amer gas is recertifing my 12 year old tanks for $10 each.
It seems a lot of us are aging a little....
