How do i tell my actual weight on my rear axle?

I know the obvious drive on to a truck scale. But when i weight the rear of my truck, its giving me the weight of the actual axle and tires and everything. so how do i figure out the actual weight t...

Well, DUH!

But, you can't just wave your hands and "wish" a new weight rating on your truck. If it were possible, I would make all pickup trucks rated to carry a billion pounds and we would never have to argue over weight again.
