We just recently did a long trip from Missouri to Disney world with our travel trailer. The camping there is awesome for Halloween if you have never done it. While there we now see the need to get a golf cart for the family, but I am not sure how to tow it with us. We have a Chevy Tahoe and are pulling a 2013 Layton travel trailer with it (~ 30 feet long) What solutions are there for getting a golf cart in the mix? I am not sure if I want to tow another trailer behind this one? Any ideas?

You rent one. Illegal to tow a second trailer behind a TT.

It seems most states it is not legal to double tow unless you have a 5ver as the first trailer.Only option is to get a 2500, or better yet due to the weight, a 3500 crew cab truck to haul the golf cart in the bed. Most toy hauler trailers would probably be to heavy for a Taboe.Or use bikes instead of the golf cart maybe if that is an option??? Good luck!!!

Here's what we did....We found two almost brand new larger mobility scooters on Craigslist. They break down into 6 pieces each. Almost every mobility scooter breaks down so it can be carried in the trunk of a car. We carry one in storage compartments and the other in the back of our TV.There are a couple of advantages to the two mobility scooters vs a golf cart besides being easy to carry:We can ride side by side or I can go where I want and she can go where she wants.We use them at events where there's a lot of walking like RV/Car/Craft shows, fairs, swapmeets, museums around the RV Park and even on hard pack hiking trails.Here's what they look like with an add on awning...kind of like a minature golf cart.

You need a truck with a higher payload. We went and picked up 2 49cc scooters on craigslist for 300 bucks a pop.You do not need a license as its below 50cc , you take it outside of campground as they are road legal. When I upgrade to a 2500 truck , I will change mine to a small dual sport motorcycle.

First easy option is to rent a golf cart after you get to Disney.

Second is tow your TT with a pick up.

I see 'MANY' RV'ers coming down to Florida with their golf cart in the back of the pick up towing their TT......

OR in a MH towing a pick up toad with the golf cart in the back of the pick up!!!

Really though, those are the only 2 ways I have seen how to bring a golf cart with while RV'ing.

That Idaho Tote is a cool platform. Pricey, though--Brochure says $6500 for the 6'.

If you add the price of a decent cart (BTW, allow for a battery replacement) to any kind of decent solution like the Idaho Tote, the OP would probably be money and TV wear ahead by renting at the attraction. Who knows, he may have another use for it and the Idaho Tote is available with a trailer tongue attachment.

The other thought was to put a platform on the back of the travel trailer, but I am concerned about the tongue weight and balancing. I need to find the right place to customize this.

We have gone to the Fort the last 7 years over Easter and just rent a cart at the CG. A new TV or TH seem like your only option unless you rent a cart. You can still participate in the parade with a rental.
We have not made it down during Halloween but have heard great things about it. The Fort is truly one of the nicest CG’s. Good luck.

No, he didn't specifically say it was for Disney. He said he was at Disney. Then said he saw a need for a golf cart. For Disney? Or in general. He didn't say, and since a lot of folks use them at various places, I was trying to understand where he saw he saw the need. I appreciate that he clarified what he was after in a later post. Makes perfect sense now.

We also want to participate in the Halloween golf cart parade next year. It was such a fun event watching it.

You can't get there from here with a standard golf cart and your trailer/TV combination.

I wish I had my camera, but I was in the pool!
We were at a campground and I see this TT leaving. They had a custom platform made for the rear of the trailer and the golf cart was loaded sideways on it! I can only assume they had the axles moved back to have the trailer properly balanced for tongue weight. No, this is not made up! If I didn't see it I wouldn't have believed it myself!

They were towing it with a 12 passenger E350 diesel.
