What's your time limit? Are you going to have test runs of 21 year olds and 75 years olds and come to a average time? Would you have different times because of age? I didn't know a dump station at a rv park was a convenience, I consider it a requirement for the price.
In reality how long are you guys waiting that you're so inconvenienced? 10-15 minutes per trailer?
So if you're behind three trailers in line, you don't mind waiting 45 minutes while those in front of you dilly dally around because they can? Luckily, I only occasionally get stuck behind some inconsiderate soul. Most people are friendly and considerate.
I'm going to say that 95% of people can't pull up, get their hoses out, dump 2-4 tanks which normally requires pulling up or getting more hose, do a quick wash of their hoses and put them away in 10 minutes.
Why not, I do it all the time? 30 seconds to pull out the hose from the bumper and connect it, pull the black valve and wait for it to drain, 3 minutes tops. Pull the gray valve and wait for it to drain, another 3 minutes tops, close the valves, disconnect the hose and stuff it back in the bumper, one minute. 7 -1/2 minutes. So yes it realistically can be done in 10 minutes.
What I have a problem with is those who use this process.
-Pull out a bin with the hazmat gear.
-Pull out the Slinky
-Pull out another bin with the non potable water gear.
-Put on chemical suit, elbow length gloves, and sometimes face shield.
-Connect garden hose to water connection and tank flush.
-Install clear elbow.
-Connect Slinky.
-Go into woods looking for rock to place on end of slinky at honey hole.
-Open black valve and let drain.
-Turn on on tank flush.
-Watch clear elbow for 3 minutes.
-Close black valve and fill tank with flusher.
-Open valve and watch clear elbow for awhile.
-Ooooops, seen a piece of corn, close valve and fill tank again.
-Open valve and watch clear elbow for a few minutes.
-Oooooops, seen a piece of TP, close valve and fill again.
-Open valve and drain again while watching clear elbow.
-All ok, but let the tank flush run for another 3 minutes just to be sure.
-Close black valve and open gray, let it drain while picking the hose up half a dozen times.
-Close gray valve, open black and run flusher for 3 more minutes.
-Disconnect slinky and lay on grass or road.
-Disconnect garden hose, dig through storage for bottle of bleach solution, and get hoze nozzle from bin.
-Install hose nozzle.
-Disinfect slinky and valves with bleach solution.
-Wash both down with garden hose.
-Put slinky away after first waving it in the air in an attempt to dry it.
-Remove nozzle.
-Remove garden hose and shake it for a minute trying to get every last drop out.
-Put hose in bin.
-Remove chemical suit, gloves and full face shield if used, put suit and shield in bin.
-Put bins in storage.
-Walk back to TV and get keys, lock storage hatches and entry door.
-Walk over to dumpster and toss the gloves.
-Pull out hand sanitizer and wash hands.
-Get in TV and start it.
-Oooooops - Have wife get out and go back and check all the lights.
-Get out of truck and check hitch and safety chains / breakaway cable.
-Get back in truck with a big sheet eating grin.
LOL, an exaggeration no doubt, but I have seen more than a few who go through such a ritual.
