- moresmokeExplorerSay Hi, and strike up a conversation. That never ends. Yes i am that wierd creepy person everyone avoids!:B
- BurbManExplorer IIWHY would you post a question like this? Nobody likes folks walking through their campsite. Although some CGs have paths that go between sites to create shortcuts to the showers, etc. Wave hello and get on with whatever you were doing.

Wow there are a lot of uptight people on this thread. I go camping to relax. If someone walks through my site I try to say hello and make sure to have an empty chair if they want they end up staying for a minute. I guess I must be different but I enjoy taking opportunities to meet new people.
I don't disagree with you, I'm very much a social animal. My beef is with campers who believe they have a right to continuous walk right through your site even while you're sitting out trying to relax. My guess is they would be really peeved if we walked through their site several times a day.

The only time it bothers me is when I'm at the beach. Those that have camped in Myrtle Beach know how small the sites are.
We are usually the second from the end and still have people cutting through. Yes, it makes me VERY mad, especially when they move my stuff to get through.
I'm going to change my tactics this year though, maybe a free squirt with the water hose for everyone! :B
I hear you! It really ticks me off also when we're at MBTP in the winter. I make a point of never walking thru someone else's site and I'm not shy when it comes to anyone walking thru mine. - spoon059Explorer II

You don't own the property you are only staying in space number 15 and there are no fences around your little space. So if a few people happen to walk through, on your rented piece of dirt, SO WHAT! When you actually own the property, you might feel different, but you don't.
So... if you lease your car, its okay if I take it for a ride? You don't own that hunk of metal.
What if you rent an apartment, its okay if I change my daughters diaper on the dining room table? You don't own that apartment.
Its all about courtesy and sense. When somebody walks through your site and steals something from your site, maybe you will change your tune. Its happened to me. When somebody has the nerve to walk through your site and knock over your chair and spill your drink and knock over your book, maybe you will change your tune.
Whatever happened to treating people with respect and respecting their property? The rules are clear, it is YOUR site. Its not EVERYBODY's site. That is what common areas are for. - nomad297ExplorerI string fishing line all of the way around my site -- one at 60" and one at 10". The high one gets the grown-ups and the low one trips the munchkins. :B

You don't own the property you are only staying in space number 15 and there are no fences around your little space. So if a few people happen to walk through, on your rented piece of dirt, SO WHAT! When you actually own the property, you might feel different, but you don't. Do you sit on your front porch at home and shoot neighbors and strangers who might walk on your grass?
