How do you level when needed

I also have a bunch of 12" 2x10 pieces stored in an exterior hatch. If it's really bad, I pop the tie-downs and use the jacks.

I hate to comment on this, but it made me laugh out loud and my girlfriend started looking at me funny. I was kinda thinking the same thing.

To add to the post, I use my dual rear wheel truck the most for hauling the camper. I just use wood blocks that the guy that sold me the camper gave me. Usually only have to use one block on one wheel somewhere and it flexes the truck so that my whole rig is close to level. I don't worry about being slightly off. If we get somewhere and our heads have to be the other way, then that's not a big deal.

The one thing that I do that seems to be different is I don't use enough in the rear that both tires are on something. I don't see any harm in just putting the inside rear tire on something and letting the outside tire hang out. Haven't had a problem doing this and don't see what could happen.

Place the interlocking plastic blocks on a 3/8" piece of plywood, or 3/4" lumber. Mine have held up well for 8+ years doing that. I never set them directly on the ground, since rocks and soft dirt wreck them, as you have discovered.

My truck is a SRW. I remove the tie-downs if I use the jacks for leveling in case one of the tires goes flat during the night.

Yep, 2x6 or 2x8 scraps to get it close and then use the rear jacks to level a bit more if needed.
When using the jacks, just pay attention to how much you're lifting. No need to undo the tie downs as long as you don't lift it further than the un loaded height of your truck. You're not picking up anything but camper weight until you reach unloaded height.

I use wood, lengths of 2x10 I stack up. I go double in the rear because of the DRW.

I have legos too, but I've broken them when used on rough ground so I stick to the wood unless I'm adding the legos to the top of the wood.

The boards don't last long, I often break them on rough ground. But usually they are scraps that don't cost anything so I consider it no big deal.

I don't very often. When I first owned the camper I would more often. Usually if I was staying for 3 or more days.

My camper is getting old. I'm afraid one of these days a corner at a jack point is going to fail, and that will be the end of the camper. I don't want this to happen anywhere but at home. I've got the camper on blocks at the same elevation as the truck bed so I'm only lifting and dropping a few inches.

When it gets replaced I'll have a camper with electric jacks so I'll be back to doing this more often.

You don't need levelers for paved, flat RV parks.
