How do you tell when your waste tanks are full?

Our camper has indicator lights on the range hood that profess to show the level in each of the waste tanks. But I'm not sure I can trust the lights. I don't want to pull up stakes and go looking ...

No offense to you 5th wheel, TT, and Class A owners but your holding tanks are likely FAR different than our TC tanks.

Well, I could be wrong, but in my fiver, when the gray tank's full, it backs up in the shower, and in my TC, when the gray tank's full, it backs up in the shower...so there ya go...
