We average 250 to 300 miles a day. We leave about 9 and like be in camp by 5. So with potty breaks, food breaks, stops etc. We are moving on the road 5 or 6 hours a day.
Coming home we can push 600 mile because we do not have to worry about a campsite.
You will find 200 to 300 miles a good average and 60 mph will get you about 10 mpg.
That said, if your time is limited you may have to push harder.
We rented a trailer before we bought one. We spent a week in the Ozarks. Renting tells you a lot about the purchase you are about to make.
