How far do you travel per day?

We will do a 13-14 hour day driving from here to our son's house, just us (and the dog) in the truck. Towing I prefer to do much shorter days, but I will leave home in the dark (5am or so) to do a longer first day. I don't like to get in to a campsite in the dark, particularly if I have never been there before.

Next winter I am headed to Tucson for what is about a 17-18 hour drive and I will break that into 2 overnights, hopefully with the longer day as the first day. The way back I might do longer stints.
