How fast do you travel loaded?

62-63 MPH. Up to 64 if on smooth interstate with a tail wind, rarely up to 70 when I have to pass someone driving 55 or so. I find if I try anything much higher my gas mileage plummets - not to mention the tires are rated for 65. I make sure to check inflation every morning before leaving.

We usually try to maintain between 55/60 . That's the best milage for us . Of course we ltravel mostly on flat ground . When mountainous traveling things change!

Although I agree with you. I work full time and don't always have as much time to make a far away destination as I would like. When pressed for time, I keep the speed down but reduce the amount time I am stopped. I find I make better time if I stay rolling instead of turning a 15-20 minute fuel stop into a 30-60 minute delay. I plan for 500 miles on a long travel day which will typically take 10 hours with included stops. We have covered more distance or driven longer, but then it is no longer a vacation for us. We try to make our vacation the entire trip from when we leave home to the time we return, not when we reach the destination and leave it.

my boat trailer tires are rated for 55 max,so i keep it around 100 km/h.(62 mph).

70 is my average speed. 80 if crossing Alligator alley. Now on our trip to New York I caught my wife doing 90 through South Carolina. It was 3am and I was sleeping in the passenger seat. She was running with three 18 wheelers, drafting them. "Slow your roll women!"

I never go over 55 miles per hour, with the load it takes more time and distance to stop in an emergency, lots of wild life up here in Canada.

The only time I exceed 55 is when is when I let my attention lapse while going downhill.

Usually 65 or so, but up to 75 at times. Too much noise and fuel consumption to go faster.

We nearly always drive the speed limit - around 75. Driving 60 or 65 is just inviting someone who's not paying attention to rear-end us. Our rig handles the same at 75 as it does at 60.

65 MPH - unless I am traveling through a major city such as Dallas or Kansas City and then it is whatever it takes to keep from getting run over by all the drivers that appear to be qualifying for the Indy 500.
