How long should I keep the pop-up open after rain?

It also depends on the humidity level outside. Down here in the steamy south, it can take awhile for anything to dry outside. I agree with putting Damp Rid inside. We keep one inside our TT and our hardsided PUP. They fill up in no time down here!

It reallydoesn't take long for them to dry ...... i'm a firm believer in get 'em up to dry out, than get 'em closed uo away from the elements

Until it's all dry......

*UPDATE*

I finally open my camper (last night) to load it up for my next camping trip, and all look good!
NO signs of mold or moisture anywhere.

I try to leave my set up minimum for a day, but that allows us to give it a good cleaning while it's up.

We usually put 5-6 of these scattered thruout the camper during the off season, and they are usually pretty full of water when we remove them in the spring.

It doesn't take long to dry out the surface. The gotcha is when water is trapped in folds and along seams. THAT can take a while, days even, if you don't go out and ensure everything gets exposed to the air.

I have left it popped up for three days in the warm weather of Arkansas, only to take it down and have water drip on me from where the vinyl roof was touching the underside of the hard roof, trapping water. That's disappointing.

It is an excuse to g camping again soon :-)

For the future - run the heater when you open it up - full speed. That will speed up the process.

It would be a good idea to set it up as soon as you can and leave it up until it is completely dry, I always set mine up when I get home any way to finish cleaning and re-packing for the next trip..

We had to close ours many times while wet (Coleman Sedona). It did not develope mildew. I suggest you open it as soon as you can and let it air out.

My Flagstaff has a Sunbrella type material...once the surface of the tenting is dry it's dry...since the tenting is not canvas you should have less to worry about.

I did nearly the same thing and I opened the pup after three days and it was bone dry still...that was just from toweling off the wet tenting....(throughly drying)
