How many different TT models are there?

Yes, a few;

Have seen other Trail-Lites, but not the same model as ours. There's got to be about eleventy-two million different campers out there.

For TTs, it is not millions, because annual sales are in the 200,000 to 300,000 range.

But maybe approaching 10,000 any particular model year, and the lines and models will change year to year. A large manufacturer like Forest River, or the Keystone or Dutchmen divisions of Thor, may have 15 to 40 overlapping model lines in their catalogs and 10 to 30 models in each line. Smaller manufacturers like Sunnybrook or Jayco might have a tighter lineup, but still a half dozen lines catering to different markets and a few to a dozen models in each line.

But this does not mean you won't see two the same, because the largest selling lines, mostly entry level, will be most of the production, and a few most popular models will be a big part of the total sales. And if a model is successful, it will be unchanged for years. F-R's Flagstaff/Rockwood line is a good example of this, persistent production of a line of TTs that sell well.

Those catalogs are made up by marketing departments for sales to dealers, and sometimes some of those models will be produced in very small numbers, and occasionally not at all, because no dealer ordered it. This turns out to be a problem for consumers who "shop" the brochures, paper or online, because they'll decide they want a particular model, no dealer has that one, and the factory does not want to make one on order because they don't have enough orders to switch production to a batch of that type.

You will sometimes see two of the same model of motorhome, however, because there is not that degree of model proliferation, and even among what is offered, dealers (and rental companies) will buy duplicates of the few models they know are popular and best meet consumer needs. If someone wants something different, it is usually not difficult to order because motorhome production is managed differently that travel trailer production, with running assembly of different models rather than batches of a type.

We had a Colman pop-up for twenty years (gave it to my nephew and he is still using it) The model is "Alta." In twenty years I only saw one other Coleman Alta.

Now we have a 2012 Fun Finder 210WBS. On one occasion there were three of them in a NY State park! I believe this floor plan has been dropped in the current production year, but is still available in Cruiser RV's Shadow Cruiser line.

Our 30 foot 2013 Starcraft tt was only manufactured for 1 year in our interior layout. They still have the model # for 2014 with a very different layout. Very happy we purchased when we did, suits us perfectly. I don't expect to see many of ours out there.

With our current TT we usually see 1 or 2 each time we camp.

I see a tons of Cougars and Montanas when I camp but have not yet seen the object of my desire(Alto TT) on the road.

Great question. Of our last three rigs: Springdale, never saw another one; Arctic Fox, saw several; current Hideout have never seen another one.

I believe your fiver is a Rockwood. Forest River is the parent company with many other lines and makes of RVs. I have a Flagstaff which is also made by Forest River but I call it a Flagstaff.

In 2004 I purchased a Colorado Dutchmen 5th Wheel. Three months after the purchase we were in a RV park and there was another just like it, same model and everything. I had the trailer for 8 years and never saw another like it. I did see a few, I mean very few, other Colorado's but none like mine.
