- TerryallanExplorer IIJust remember. The crooks KNOW where the good hiding places are as well. If you think there is place in your RV that no one else has ever found. Think again.
Hide it in the glove box? Most don't lock anymore, and a hammer will open any vehicle.
And in truth. they aren't really interested in stealing the whole RV.
Safes provide just enough deterrent. Crooks don't want to hang out long, and most don't carry a crowbar, or hacksaw. They are looking for something they can grab in a hurry. So stuff laying in a cubby hole, can be gone in a flash. Stuff locked in a safe, bolted to the floor. Just takes too much time to steal. - TheGriswoldsExplorerThe gunvault nano is a good choice. It is small, TSA approved, holds a handun and wallet. Comes with a steel cord to attach it to almost anything (not very secure but it helps). Has a 3 number combo lock on it and cost about $30
- beemerphile1ExplorerWe don't have a safe because we are only weekend and vacation campers. After retirement I intend to have a fireproof safe to protect important papers more than for theft protection. Placing it in a hidden and inconvenient to access location provides better security than bolting it down where easily found.

Anyone have a safe to store documents, guns, money, etc in their TT?
What size/ kind and how do you secure it?
Yikes been pop upping and trailering (now a MH) for 30 years and never had a safe. Maybe keeping items in a locked glove compartment makes sense? I hide my stuff really well when we leave at home. Now I'm thinking of hiding spaces (short of drilling) in the new MH. - CavemanCharlieExplorer IIII don't even lock the door. No need to around here. They would do more damage breaking in they the value of the stuff they could find to steal. Besides, since I don't go for more then a weekend and never go more then 75 miles from home I don't need to carry anything valuable in there. I keep my wallet on me or in the glove box of the locked pickup. Yes, the TV in the camper has some value but, I can easily replace that but, not so the broken door of the TT.
- the_happiestcamExplorerI put all my valuables in a plastic bag attached to a string, which I then lower into the black tank. Mind you, it is a heavy duty string.
- BumpyroadExploreron my Chieftain I had a tip out clothes hamper. I cut a board to fit, stained it the same, can put goodies in bottom, drop the panel in and throw some dirty undies on top. :)
bumpy - WoodGlueExplorerI'm fortunate in that I have a couple of really great hidey holes, so no need for a safe.
WoodGlue - buckyExplorer IIWe have a bait safe under the bed. Let's them think they got something. You can open it with a toothpick.
- MartyMooseExplorerFirst, someone would need to find my safe.......a small gun safe works fine.
