I'm towing a 21 ft Rockwood, about 4,000 lbs loaded. My first Tundra was a 2000 Access Cab with the 4.7, bought used with 95,000 miles on it. Towed the Rockwood great, but it was getting up around 150,000 miles and I had been drooling over the 2nd gen ever since they came out. Got my 2011 5.7 Access Cab 3 years ago with 32,000 miles on it. Lots of good comments above, gas mileage isn't great but that's not why I bought it. Best 1/2 ton available IMHO.
I have a fiberglass topper on it, and often put 2 bikes, 25 gallons of water and other misc. stuff in the back. It tows great. I've put 35,000 miles on it, probably 2/3 of that towing. No issues, change the oil and filters and enjoy!
