My wife and I are, shall we say, a bit "ample" and my wife worried the tent end won't be able to support us. Knowing what it's actually rated at should soothe her some. We're both currently lying in our tent end on our first night out -- I have some insomnia from a thin mattress -- and no weird sounds or unnatural bowing. So I think we'll be fine.

Ugh insomnia here too Probably varies model to model, if it's not in the manual, nobody's going to have an exact number for YOUR exact trailer.Contact Fleetwood and see if they'll volunteer a number, my guess they'll give you a "CYOA" type answer and not a specific number.I don't have a hybrid, but parts of my travel trailer are built out of the thinnest chip-board I've ever seen, like the entire bed platform, etc... and it's bolstered around the edges with nothing but 1" square pieces of what I'm guessing is fir. At least my floor appears to be 3/4" plywood and not chipboard.Good luck - hope you get some sleep soon.

Fleetwood will be of no help, since they haven't had a Towables division for years.a search here on the subject or visiting some of the hybrid manufacturers sites, would have given you the answers.it doesn't vary model to model, since almost all hybrid bunk doors{not tent ends}, will support 1000-1200lbs. and yes, hybrid manufacturers gave exact amounts in their brochures/websites. so unless you have a bunch of football players sleeping on it, i doubt if you need to be concerned.but if you have the pole supported, instead of cable supported, it might be slightly less.

Unless there have been changes, the Rockwood ROO/Flagstaff Shamrock are rated for 1000#. This is based on our 2007 and more recent posts. If you are looking at newer, I would think that number has increased. An older model may be less, so I would contact the manufacturer of that model if you cannot find it somewhere online. Sold My Fleetwood Avalon last year -- was rated for 1200#

I have seen this weight posted on the walls with a sticker on some Hybrids...We both weigh-in the 500LB range and have no problems using our OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer pull out beds... They have support poles however going down to the trailer bumper.You can always rig up a drop down set of supports if it makes the wife feel better...The outside fold down bed seem to look very strong to me. I have heard they are prone to warping however due to being overloaded I guess and resulting in bad weather tight seals. That is a very large door to pull down. I love the hybrid fold down concept as this does not take up any extra room inside the trailer when the beds remain up. Great for sleeping over night in the couch beds at the various rest stops or Walmart lots when in travel mode.There is NO WAY we can stick even our arms inside our POPUP trailer when in travel mode... Everything designed with the push-in beds in mind for the POPUP trailers.Roy Ken

Haha, registered just to reply to this. I feel squeamish making love in our hybrid. My husband and I are average sized people, but I fear the extra "action" might stress the cables. I have this nightmare of crashing through the tent end in a compromising position. Irrational, I know, but still I worry.

Opened the back-end tenty thing and we both climbed in to see how we would fit, when the trailer tongue lifted off, and the rear bumper knelt down till it sat on the driveway, with us stuck in the tent of a 45 degree trailer as it rose up and saluted our watching neighbors. We gingerly made our way out, until the tongue started back toward earth with a bang. Neighbors really wondered what was going on back there!

Great way to learn to remember to crank down the rear stabilizers!

My 2010 coleman hybrid says it good for 1000 lbs. back when I had a tent trailer and had some issues I made some large pvc poles with flange ends that I just places under the tent end just in case. They sometimes (depending on the surface of the ground would sometimes not be perfect but close enough that if the trailer tipped a bit it would stop it.

Thanks, that's what we have.

As was mentioned, the Fleetwood towables division is long gone and the website on Archive.org doesn't have this fact. I didn't see it in the manual and I can't find that brochure anywhere.

What you all have said is good enough. I can't imagine they would handle less than 1,000 pounds.

FYI searching here was the first thing I did. Maybe the search terms were wrong.
