How much a dealer will charge for winterize a Pop-up?

I just did mine. Low point drains opened blew it out with air at 40 psi. Let it set for an hour and repeated. No waste holding tanks on mine so no P-traps. All I have left is the cassette toilet. Make sure fresh water tank and water heater are drained before blowing out. Years ago I had an attachment that would fit a vacuum cleaner to blow one out, it came with a pup we had back in the 70's. I don't know if they are still available.

Since you're not home to do this yourself, the $120 is well worth it. A friend didn't winterized one year (didn't think about it) and it cost him over $1000 in repairs. Next year, give it a shot!

At the moment I am abroad on business (unsuspected, for a month), so I can't winterize my pop-up myself this year. (I shouldn't waited that long I know!)

I don't know someone that I trust enough to winterize the pop-up for me, so I asked my parents to just drop the pop-up at my local dealer and I will pay them the winterize cost when I'm back.
For $120, better be safe then sorry!

Next year I will not wait, and winterize my pop-up on the last camping day (when it's already open).

To the OP:

It's pretty easy and inexpensive to do it yourself.
1. Open the drain valve on the water tank.
2. Get the "RV Blowout Plug" (Amazon, Wal-Mart, etc). Connect the plug to the city water inlet.
3. Open low-point drain.
4. Push air through the system until all the water is out of the low-point drain.
5. Close low-point and open faucet if accessible. Repeat 4 to get water out of the faucet.
6. If desired, let the trailer sit for a day or two then repeat.
7. Pour a small amount (about 1-1.5 cups) of water system antifreeze into the sink drain P-trap.

Your done! Pretty easy and quick. If you pump the antifreeze into the water lines, it gets a bit more complicated. I only did that for the first two winters, then I just went to blowing out the lines.

That's going to depend on whether they think they have to open it up to work, then fold it back to put it away for the winter.

Last year my local deater's winterization "special" was $90, but that was for a travel trailer or motorhome with winterization kit installed, and it would go higher if extra work was needed.

That's small city Oklahoma, labor rates go up in larger cities where higher land values push up rents, property taxes, and competitve wages.

P.S. just got an offer in the mail, $59.95, up to to gallons antifreeze. That would be putting the job at about 20-30 minutes labor.

I don't think everything will just drain. There will be some low point behind a wall or cabinet some place that will freeze and break. Murphy's law.

we charged $49 per unit. MH's were more.

You can winterize it in less time than hooking up and taking it to the dealer. Seriously. Get out your manual and read up on how to do it.

Dream Girl, since you don't have a water heater, toilet or shower, the only real answer with regards to how much it will cost is "too much". It would take you longer to hitch it up than to winterize it. There are no tools involved and it will take less than $4 in rv antifreeze. Do you have a manual showing how to winterize the camper? If so, just check it out for instructions. You'll be surprised how easy it will be.
