How much to offer?

If the $30,500 was where they started, even without an offer from you, the way I look at it is that it can't hurt making a counter offer at around $20,000 and tell them that you don't want to affend them but you have other dealerships to go to and look around.

That's not bad but it won't hurt to make a counter offer. I would offer either 25K + tax/lic. or $30,000 out the door with tax and everything included.

A buddy of mine bought a TT last year that retailed for about that amount and ended up paying 26K plus tax and lic.

That seems about right.
