Those that are recommending a diesel, give your head a shake. He's going to be pulling 9000lbs!!! Since the OP wants to spend his money wisely, spending the extra for a diesel, doesn't do that.
I pull over 10k with my 6.2 and have to pay attention to keeping my speed at bay.
A 150 vs 250, payload is the only issue. If the OP is buying new, the new 3.5 EB will out tow the 6.2, hands down but would not have the payload the 250 has.
OP, buy the 250 (350) 6.2 with 4.30 gears if you are ordering it.
