Sure a diesel costs more to buy. But it is worth a lot more. I have a 2002 Ford 7.3 bought new. It is still worth around $17k and going up in value with 160 k miles. A gas truck of the same age and mileage is hardly worth anything at all. It is the best vehicle I have ever owned out of more than 30.
